one year down
I took my second exam last night, thus ending my first year in grad school. I have to admit, I'm a little worn out by it. It wasn't the best semester, class-wise, but I wasn't as into the classes this semester as last. I'm glad to have my summer off, and I'll be happy to get back into learning mode in September.
Going to hang out with some people this weekend and stay busy, and do some work around the house the rest of the time. Kara is in full study mode, and I'm going to do my best to keep her on her game and working towards the exam at the end of the month.

not much going on
Haven't been blogging much lately, obviously, but this is as good a day as any for a catch-up.
Nothing much to report. We've got some seedlings growing for the balcony garden: tomatoes, string beans, hot peppers, and some kitchen herbs. The condo is mostly cleaned up and most things are put away, and I think we'll plan to start painting again sometime in June.
No major travel or job stuff going on. Everything is going quite well at work. The semester is wrapping up at BU, and I have my two finals next week. I have to say that, along with a lot of my classmates who had the same pair of classes I did, I didn't enjoy this semester as much as the first. In one case, the instructor was to blame, and in the other, it was just the course material. It was educational, though, which is what is important.
That's pretty much it.
